Jaime states, “I became a photographer because I wanted to preserve ones image through the process of immortalizing creative artistry. Basically, as an artist, I wanted to evolve into another medium and by doing this, it allowed me to continue to create and preserve ones image through photography.” He has accomplished various techniques.
Jaime Lim enjoys natural lighting and studio. He finds both forms of pictorial canvases easy to work with his artistic form. He usually shoots with 1D Mark 4 and 5D Mark 3 handheld Canon. His lenses capture the proper look he strives for. When asked on which styles of photography he prefers he said, “I prefer to shoot fashion. I enjoy headshots for actors too, but those photos are meant to be simple with specific lighting, which is easy to achieve with my amount of experience. I don’t want to be limited to perform my art. Avant-garde shoots make me feel free. They also, challenge me in a positive notion to bring forth continuous creativity and ingenuity to standout from my competitors.” While shooting high-fashion photographic pieces, he in-lights that, “it’s ok to use photo-shop because they’re not headshots for actors, they’re artistic masterpieces that create beauteous images of art.” His high-fashion shoots create a gorgeous fantasy. Jaime Lim has taken photos for various clothing lines over the years. One of the many lines that stood-out has been for the designer Rocky Gathercole. Jaime uses astute photo-shop while shooting for The private Fashion House,” in order to bring to life they’re avant-garde and ‘Lady Gaga’ inspired outfits. He defiantly adds to the creative tone of their clothing. Jaime Lim knows how to adapt to the designers who hire him. He is intelligent because he studies what they want and elaborates on their styles, all while, keeping their elegance and modern trend alive.
